Umansky Dendrology park “Sofiyivka” is a masterpiece of world landscape gardening art of the late XVIII - early XIX centuries.
Park Square is situated on 154.7 hectares on the outskirts of the ancient city of Uman, Cherkasy region. This is a sample of landscape park composition of water, land, architectural works and sculptures. Founded in 1796, park rich Polish magnate Stanislav Potocki in honor of his wife the beautiful Greek Sophia, and was presented to her on the day of her birthday in May 1802. The idea of the park in a romantic style, with Roman and Greek mythology belonged to Sophia. This masterpiece was created in the short term, which during the 200 years, impresses visitors with its beauty. Amazing landscapes, exotic plants, antique sculptures, ponds, waterfalls, fountains, stone grottoes - all this can be seen by visiting the park.
